Most people will change careers several times in their working lives. Sometimes it happens by choice – a new field is more appealing – or a career change can happen through downsizing. No matter the reason, changing careers can be a stressful and daunting experience.

Job Smart U is offering “Changing Careers” at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 8, in the McLane Meeting Room in the lower level of the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Presenter John Gosling, a career counselor for the Wisconsin Job Service, will help participants figure out how to find the right career. He’ll talk about getting started, how to explore different careers, assessing skill sets and exploring the steps needed to plan out new career goals.
